    Ann recounts her first meeting with Meher Baba, where he gave her a sari and instructed her to give something to Mehera. On the last day of the East-West gathering, Baba asked the Westerners to say goodbye individually. Ann, expecting another embrace, was surprised when Baba beamed and gestured for her to leave happily, teaching her that there is no separation and that his pleasure comes from her happiness.
