Introduction
The recordings in this Collection were donated by the Meher Baba Center of Northern California. The MBCNC is located at El Cerrito, California in the San Francisco Bay Area. The recordings were made from March 1970 to May 1998, a span of over 28 years. The talks feature 51 different speakers and, with 2 or 3 exceptions, by those who physically met Meher Baba. The recordings are arranged alphabetically (A - Z) by the speaker’s first name. For example, the first listed recording is from “Adele Wolkin” and the last listing is “Ursula Van Buskirk”.
Some of these talks given over the years were recorded in Berkeley, Albany and El Cerrito–in the San Francisco Bay Area. Some were recorded at the Meher Spiritual Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and some others at Meherazad and Meherabad, India; Meher Baba’s residence and ashram. Some talks are “How I Came to Baba” stories. They are first-person autobiographical accounts charged with great significance to the speakers. They have a natural attraction and convey enthusiasm, delight, earnestness, and self-discovery. The talks can be very moving. One example is Eleanor Smith’s recounting her life changing experience of meeting and being with Baba. She was Lud Dimpfl’s sister and she met Baba in 1956 in San Francisco and again in 1958 at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Speakers in this Collection include Meher Baba’s resident mandali, e.g. those who lived with Meher Baba at His Meherazad, India residence as well as those mandali and close ones who lived elsewhere in India and abroad.
There are men and women and both Easterners and Westerners. The Westerners hail from the United States, the UK, France, Switzerland, and Germany. The Easterners mostly from Irani, India, and Pakistan.
Among the Easterners are: Adi K. Irani, Meherjee Karkaria, Padri (Faredoon Driver), Aloba (Ali Akbar Shapurzaman), Amrit Irani, Hovovi & Hoshang Dadachanji, Bal Natu, Bhau Kalchuri, Dr. Hoshang P. Bharucha, Dr. Shrivastaya, Eruch B. Jessawala, Espandiar Vesali, Freny Irani, Jungo (Jehangir Sukhadwalla, Mani S. Irani, Mehera J. Irani, Merwan Mistry, Minoo Kharas, Naosherwan Anzar, Rhoda & Adi Dubash, Sarosh Irani, and Pukar (Parameshwari Dayal Nigam).

The deep love and devotion evidenced by these speakers bears witness to the heart touching quality of the talks. You will enjoy many remarkable hours listening to these speakers as they each tell their own stories of how they came into the love orbit of Meher Baba, the Avatar of the Age.
