A story is shared about a Perfect Master named Bayazid who was asked about the greatest blessing. He replied that being born into a family with felicity, or happiness, with God is the greatest blessing. For those not born into such a family, he advised seeking strength, a hearing ear, a seeing eye, and a knowing heart to find their way to God. A young boy, Tofu, leaves home to find God after realizing he cannot serve both God and his mother. He spends years searching for a master, eventually finding one who sends him back home. Upon returning, he cares for his ailing mother and experiences enlightenment when God manifests through the door he is guarding.

A misunderstanding arose regarding Meher Baba’s instruction, “Don’t do as I do, do as I tell you.” Some interpreted this to mean they shouldn’t help the poor, as Baba did. However, Eruch clarified that Baba meant not to imitate His actions as the Ancient One, but to follow His teachings, such as helping the poor, without claiming divine authority.

A Finnish woman, meditating in a park in Helsinki in the 1930s, heard a voice saying “I am here.” She photographed the spot and later discovered the image of a man on the developed film. The image was later identified as Baba, the God-Man.

A devout Muslim, unable to pray five times a day due to work, prays twice daily with all his heart. One night, during prayer, he feels a kick and sees a figure in a white sadra, who says, “I’m not there. I am here,” before disappearing. The next day, he sees the same figure on a van and learns about Meher Baba from the driver.

A young Brahmin man, eager to leave the world and live with Baba, approached Him at Meherabad. Baba tested the man’s devotion by giving him three orders: to eat meat, drink liquor, and visit brothels. When the man refused, Baba instead instructed him to travel India singing spiritual songs, begging for food, and avoiding women and money. Eruch continues with the story as this man was sent on a pilgrimage by Baba but returned with negative changes in his behavior. Eruch realized that the man’s downfall was due to his inability to fully surrender and obey Meher Baba’s initial instructions, which would have cleansed him of negative impressions. This story illustrates the importance of complete obedience and surrender in spiritual growth.
