A photograph taken in the 1930s in a park in Helsinki, Finland, allegedly captures the image of Meher Baba, the “Ancient One.” The photographer, a woman meditating in the name of Jesus Christ, heard a voice saying “I am here” and later discovered the image on her developed film. The story was shared with Eruch, who recounted it to a group, including someone who possessed a copy of the photograph.

Avatar’s Abode is experiencing a severe drought, with 57 days without rain, causing water shortages and fire hazards. Despite the drought, Baba assures that God will not go on strike, providing a poem titled “If God Went on Strike” to illustrate His unwavering support. The poem humorously highlights the consequences of God’s absence, emphasizing His continuous grace and generosity.

Eruch recounts a story about Pukar, who witnessed a tree fall during a mass darshan program with Meher Baba. This event reminded Pukar of a childhood vision of the deity Ram, leading him to believe that Meher Baba was the Avatar. The story highlights the profound impact Meher Baba had on his followers.

Meher Baba, known as the Avatar, left on the New Life on October 16, 1949, and did not return until a few years later. During this time, he stepped back into the Old Life for one day to fulfill promises made to his devotees, including arranging a marriage for a young man whose mother had been pestering Baba about it. Despite skepticism from some, including a revolutionary leader who threatened to shoot Baba if proven a hoax, Baba’s radiant presence and divine aura eventually won over even the most doubtful. Meher Baba, in New Life, held a private meeting in a stable, instructing everyone not to bow to Him. When some people disobeyed and bowed, Baba demonstrated obedience by asking for a slap, eventually praising Minoo for his firm slap. This act of obedience deeply impacted a stranger, Pukar, who surrendered to Baba, believing Him to be a great commander and God in human form.

Eruch recounts a story about Rabia, who, after receiving a henna design from her servant, chastises Hassan for complimenting her appearance instead of focusing on their spiritual connection. This anecdote illustrates Baba’s preference for seeing beyond physical appearances and valuing the divine within each person. Eruch emphasizes the importance of focusing on the God within, rather than personal relationships or physical attributes.
