Eruch recounts a story about a slave named Ayaz, who became influential in the court of a Moghul emperor due to his wisdom and loyalty. The emperor valued Ayaz’s opinion above all others, even the royal jeweler. Eruch uses this story to illustrate Meher Baba’s teaching that true worth comes from being close to the divine, like Ayaz was close to the emperor.

During the Fiery Free Life phase, Baba and his mandali were traveling through a remote village. While searching for the mandali, Baba discovered them picking berries from a tree without permission. Baba humbly apologized to the tree owner on behalf of the mandali, emphasizing the importance of respecting others’ property, even if it is ultimately His.

Eruch recounts a story about Doctor Donkin, who, after collecting money for the Bojha fund, hid the currency in his large boots to keep it safe during his travels. This story reminds Eruch of Ricky, a tall person with large feet, who found a pair of boots that fit him perfectly. Despite the comfort, Ricky preferred to remain barefoot.
