In 1949, Meher Baba announced his intention to transition from the “Old Life” to the “New Life,” a life of helplessness and hopelessness, inviting his disciples to accompany him. This concept of the “New Life” was further explored after Baba’s passing, with a Western disciple recounting how Baba’s presence in Europe captivated a small group of followers, causing them to abandon their worldly attachments.
