At a gathering at the Meher Baba Center of Northern California, attendees made announcements, including a request for donations to support work at Meherazad in India. A potluck breakfast brunch was announced for the following morning at 10 a.m. at the host’s house. Sue Jamison and Rainey Eastman-Gannette performed songs for Diana Snow, who was introduced as a long-time devotee who met Meher Baba in Australia. In 1956, Baba visited Australia for the first time, staying in Sydney and Melbourne. The next time Baba came He planned to visit Queensland, and Francis, a devoted follower, purchased a property on Keel Mountain for Baba’s stay. Despite heavy rains and challenging building conditions, Francis and a team of locals, including Diana, worked tirelessly to prepare the property for Baba’s arrival. Diana’s car experienced a fuel tank issue, with rust causing a leak, despite the car being only six months old.

Diana Snow recounts her experience preparing Avatar’s Abode for Meher Baba’s arrival. She and Lorna spent six weeks renovating the farmhouse, cooking meals, and building Baba’s house, which was constructed from new materials and designed to last. Despite challenges like rain and limited resources, Diana fondly remembers the experience as a fulfilling and happy time. Diana recounts her experiences with Francis, a private man who never shared personal details about himself. She learned about his life before 1953 from people like May Lundqvist and Judith Humphries. Diana also shares how two women from Melbourne, inspired by a newspaper ad, traveled to see Baba, leading to His visit to Australia.

Diana Snow recounts her friend Margaret’s experience with Francis Brabazon, a follower of Meher Baba, who was intelligent and sincere but not particularly loving. Despite this, Diana decided to meet Francis herself, intrigued by his knowledge of Baba. After a long walk and a conversation over tea, Francis invited Diana to a series of lectures he planned to give in Sydney. In 1953, Diana met with a man who invited her to join a group of Baba followers. The group, mostly middle-aged women, met regularly at a coffee shop and later at Baba’s house, Beacon Hill, for work and gatherings. When Baba arrived in 1956, the group helped prepare the house and stayed in a converted dormitory, with some members staying with local families.

Diana Snow recounts her experiences meeting Meher Baba, including a private interview where she hesitated to express her love for Him, leading to a lesson about loving her family. She also shares a humorous anecdote about a spinach dish she prepared for Baba. Diana traveled to see Baba in 1961, facilitated by her close relationship with Francis, who helped her navigate the restrictions on communication with Baba. Diana received permission from Baba to visit him in Poona, arriving just in time for a brief meeting. Despite the rain and a cramped car ride with friends, she made it to Guruprasad. The next day, Francis took her on a tour of Poona, visiting significant locations before her train departure.
